You may receive a screening or examination without a referral however, before beginning treatment, it is best get a referral from your doctor. This helps you ensure your have a complete plan of care. You can generally request a physical therapy referral from your doctor.
Texas is a "direct access" state which means that a physician referral is not necessary for you to be seen by a licensed therapist. Please be sure to check with your insurance though, as some health insurance plans require a physicians referral for therapy to be covered.
We participate in most major health insurance plans including Medicare and Worker’s Compensation. Check with us prior to your first visit to see if we participate with your health plan!
Yes! While many of our patients come to us by way of physician referral, we also have patients who choose to come to us specifically. Where you go for physical therapy is up to you!
What to Bring: Drivers License/Photo ID, Insurance Card, & physician referral if you have one.
What to Wear: Comfortable clothing you can easily move around in.
Each appointment lasts around 60 minutes, with the exception of your first appointment which can last a little longer to do a full evaluation of your needs. We look forward to your first visit!
